The Residential Telephone Service Survey (RTSS) has been conducted since the fall of 1996. The RTSS monitors residential phone penetration rates. Initially, the survey was sponsored by Bell Canada to assess reasons why certain households did not have telephone service. Later, with the increased popularity of cellular phones, the focus of the survey switched to the types of telephone service used by households. |
